Up North for the Fourth

Another repeat from last summer - we went up to Strawberry, AZ for the Fourth of July weekend. Four families from our homegroup went up there together. We had lots of fun just relaxing together.
Water balloon launchingWe improved our distance and aim with the water balloon launchers.

Allie and LaneyThe speed of this battery-powered quad might be 1 mph, but you can't really calculate it because it would never run for an hour. Nonetheless, these girls loved riding it! It was sprinkling, so of course, you must ride it with swimsuit on and umbrella in hand.

Hanging out with my big girlBy afternoon, the clouds would roll in and just give us a light sprinkle, and bring the temperature down by 15 degrees. Macy and I just had fun enjoying the cool weather.

Riding the quadI had never ridden a quad before, and now I know, it's fun! We all took turns taking the kids on rides, partially for their fun, but for our fun too!

Goodmorning sunshineWe slept in tents near the cabin - this is the way to camp (with the use of a bathroom and kitchen)! We would wake up at sunrise with the sounds of rooster crowing in the distance.

All the kids in StrawberryThe four families have a total of 13 kids (baby Aaron didn't make it in this photo). This always keeps things exciting.

Tommy racing LaneyOn the Fourth, we all drive down to Payson to hang out at a park and watch fireworks at night. The kids love to run races against each other. Tommy knows how to use his tongue to run faster.

Fireworks in Payson
Really great fireworks show in Payson. Just might have to go there every year.

It was a really super time to hang out with our homegroup friends. I didn't even include photos of our trip to Fossil Creek, or the goat farm, or the church service, or picking cherries or eating smores, but you can see a fun time was had by all. Thank you Lance and Tambra!!!
