It is fun to watch all the neighborhood kids race off to start hunting for little plastic eggs with a piece of candy inside. Macy found the "mother-load" this year!
We also had a great time playing some fun games with the best neighbors. Check out the concentration going on here.
The good times continued at Grandma and Grandpa McInturf's house. Allie is sporting a dress that my mom made for me in about 1980. It's only about 32 years old, but Allie was happy to wear it!
These kids get better at hunting for eggs each year. We're running out of hiding places.
My grandparents enjoy watching and photographing all the action. Love them!
Here's my honey looking a little bit like Larry Fitzgerald, but way more handsome!
Doesn't everyone celebrate Easter by trying to see who can get the stomp rocket to go the highest?!?!
The celebration continued over at Steve's parents' house. Macy sure enjoys her baby cousin, Brooklyn. And I think Brooklyn enjoys Macy too!
From these photographs of the fun, you might think that we may have missed the boat. Not true at all, it's just not possible to photograph what's going on in our minds or our hearts. Even the kids know that we were celebrating the resurrection of our Savior. We talked all about how Jesus died as the perfect sacrifice, giving us forgiveness of sins, and eternal life with Him. There's nothing greater. I can't even type these words without tears of thankfulness. God is good. Why He loved us, knowing full well that we have hearts that only want to live for ourselves, still baffles me completely, but I'm so glad He did. And we celebrate by having a great time with our family and friends. The kids even asked a couple times, "What do easter eggs have to do with Jesus rising from the dead?" And I don't know the answer to that question, but we all agreed that it's still fun to hunt for easter eggs. Happy Easter to each of you!
