Jack's first Pinewood Derby

Working on the pinewood derby carBeing a Tiger Cub Scout, this was Jack's first opportunity to compete in a Pinewood Derby. He had to do most of the work in creating the car, but, as you can see, he had two great assistants to help him. His Daddy helped him learn lots of physics, make a design, build it, and paint it. For some of the process, they needed to visit the guy who has all the tools - Grandpa. This was the perfect team for building a great pinewood derby car. In this photo, they are polishing the axles to reduce friction.

Car 514This is the finished product. It is number 514 because Jack's birthday is on the 5th and Daddy's is on the 14th. The kit came with a rectangular block of wood with four nails and plastic wheels. So the finished product is drastically different from what it started out as. This is one cool, fast car!

Pinewood DerbyJack got first place for the Tiger Cub Scouts!!! It is only a 30 foot long track, so the difference between race times comes down to the hundredths of a second. Thanks to his precision engineering, Jack came out on top. Way to go Jack!!!!

Good times with the girls

Macy, Regan, and AllieMy girls both love their friend Regan so dearly. This photo of them is right after they performed a dance to "Surfin' Safari" in the swimming pool in January. They just love to spend time dancing and crafting with their friend and neighbor.

So, when Daddy was given four tickets to Disney On Ice from his work, we had to figure out who should go. It turned out to be a great girls day out. I got to take Macy, Allie and Regan to the show. I wasn't able to catch any great photos of the girls at the show, but here are some of our favorite characters.
Disney on Ice
Almost every Disney character imaginable was in some part of the show. Add some fireworks, and fake snow, and you have the perfect recipe for entertaining girls ages 6-8. We had a great time!!!

Check out my big girl!!!

She's riding her bike - no training wheels!!!
Go Allie!
Daddy and Allie set out to learn how to ride without training wheels, and Allie did it!!! She gave her Daddy a nice long run as he jogged right beside her for more than a mile.

Today was an exciting day in the Weber household! I am so proud of my big girl!

Great times with family

The past few weeks have been packed full of great times with family. We had three wonderful gatherings with the different sides of my family, all of which were absolutely perfect. We created this video of our times together:

Christmas with the McInturfs

We have also been able to spend a ton of time with Steve's side of the family because his sister, brother-in-law, and their two kids (who live really, really far away) have been in town. My kiddos absolutely love spending time with their cousins. In the following video, we tried to capture the 6 girl cousins having tons of fun together:

Those Crazy Cousins

Three more cousinsMy boys also had a great time hanging with their big cousin, Max. Their favorite things included video games and wrestling. They sure had a great time with Max and wish he lived closer.

The past few weeks have just flown by. I still keep searching for the 'PAUSE' button, or I would even settle for 'SLOW-MO' button. Nonetheless, I thank God for each and every day. I hope that you, too, have had a very blessed Christmas!!!
