Happy 10th Birthday Macy!!!

Our big girl is 10 years old!!!! Two digits! A decade! How can a decade go by so fast?!?! We celebrated big!

We had a psuedo-sleepover with a total of 9 girls (all the fun of a sleepover, without anyone sleeping over). We made custom t-shirts, swam, ate, did a photo scavenger hunt, got our toenails done, played mad libs, and ate cake. It was action packed, and a ton of fun!

Here's the cute toes that were done by my friends Debbie and Karen. Macy loves all things purple, so all the toenails are purple too!

Macy chose an ice cream cake. I took it out to soften a little too early - it was definitely getting soft!

The next day, we had a family party with all the cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. And, of course, it included lots of fun in the pool.

In honor of Macy's 10th, we ordered up a lunar eclipse, that only happens once in a gazillion years and can only be seen through welding helmets, of course! The helmet I was using tinted the sun green, but it was actually very yellowy-orange. There was definitely a shadowy feeling for at least a half hour. It was pretty cool!

All the kids took their turns at jumping rope. Macy is awesome!

It wouldn't be a birthday without a photo with all the cousins at cake time. We are so blessed to live so close to most all of our family. My kids love their cousins!

Macy brought ice cream treats to her whole class at school, for yet another birthday celebration.

Macy is growing to be such a great young lady. We have been blessed to see her become a hard-worker, a leader, and a caring friend. She handles challenges with wisdom and grace. We are blessed to be her parents and thank God for her everyday. Happy Birthday Macy!!!

Spring Soccer X 3

From March through May we had lots of fun going to soccer practice 3 nights a week and 3 games each Saturday! It is so much fun to cheer on my kiddos and see them improve so much over just a couple months. They're awesome!

Tommy played on the Cardinals with one of his best buddies. He really got into the game, and scored a few goals too!

Allie played on the Green Machine, which is the same team that she played with in the fall and winter. They continued to dominate, and have lots of fun doing it.

Macy was an Orange Crusher. She loved to be a defender, and she did a great job protecting their goal.

This is Team Weber just trying to keep cool in the shade. It was pretty warm for several of our games. But it was such great family time too.

And the kids had a great cheering section too. All their grandparents came out for most of their games (I just didn't get a photo of Grandma and Grandpa McInturf). And Jack was always there for his siblings too!

Part of the fun is also getting to hang out with our cousins at the soccer games too. This is quite a crew!!! Love them!

Trip to Malaysia and Hong Kong

Steve had to travel to Malaysia for work, so why not get in some good cuddle-time with a few snakes? I guess this is fun there, or maybe it's just fun to watch Americans do it. That's probably it.

The highlight of Steve's trip was getting to spend a few days exploring Hong Kong. This city is pretty amazing how it has about 7 million people in a space that is a little smaller than the greater Phoenix area (but we only have 1.4 million people). Not to mention the steep hills and the ocean right there in the middle of the city too.

It seems as though each shop owner wants his sign to be seen, so the streets are completely covered with them.

Steve loves to try the local food. He is much more adventurous than I am. He texts us with photos of some crazy things that he's eating. Here he had some squid and pasta in squid ink sauce (that's the black stuff). He really liked many of the things he tried, even the squid, but it was a bit chewy. Some day soon he's planning to take the family out for dim sum. The kids are even less adventurous than I am, but we think they're going to like it.

At night, the buildings all light up in cool ways, and there's a laser light show too.

The kids and I love talking to Daddy each day on Skype and hearing all about his adventures. And he brings home these great photos too. Someday, I'm going to tag along with him!
