My sweet, little, precious first-born daughter is now EIGHT! I think I took this photo of her just yesterday, when she was 9 months old. Loved her so, so much then. Love her even more today.

Here's my girl on her birthday! First, her day starts off with the "special breakfast" of her choice, which was Crunch Berries this year. Then it is off to school, where she has donuts with her whole class, and she takes some to her previous teachers too.

Then, as soon as she gets home from school, it is time for an ice cream celebration with the neighbors. And then we had the dinner of her choice: chocolate chip pancakes - made by her awesome dad - the best pancake-maker in the whole wide world.

Lastly, she headed to the mall with her Grandma and me. She got her ears pierced for her birthday - it was a gift from Grandma and Grandpa. It was not easy, but with 2 piercing gals, and lots of encouragement from two awesome middle school girls, Macy did awesome! The earings she picked look so good on her!

The next day, we had a swim party with all of our family. Swimming is one of Macy's favorite things to do, so she had a swimming pool on top of her ice cream cake. We had a great time celebrating our girl. Happy Birthday Macy Kate! We love you very, very much!
