The South of France and Barcelona, Spain

On account of many blessings, namely grandparents who are willing to watch our kids AND frequent flyer miles, Steve and I were able to take a 12-day trip to France and Spain. We wandered our way through many small towns in Provence, visited 3 beach towns in the French Riviera, and explored the big city of Barcelona. The entire trip was absolutely amazing! If you want to see photos, watch the following video. To see it full screen, click on the icon in the bottom right.

Highlights include lots of really old towns and buildings, some from before Christ, many 2-hour lunches and dinners enjoying the local cuisine, markets that sold meats, cheeses, produce, and other local goods, pedestrian-only streets and town squares, our apartment with a terrace in Nice, swimming in the Mediterranean, enjoying our picnics in picturesque places, walking through some amazing churches, checking out some awesome architecture, and cheering on FC Barcelona in its first soccer match of the season.

Thank you to our moms and dads, along with a few family and friends, who took great care of our kids and kept things running like clock-work here at home. You guys are incredible!

Oh wow - What a great trip! I recognized a lot of places - brought back amazing memories from the month I lived there as a teen. Can't beat the food and ambiance there right?!
