What we've been up to...

For a few years now, we have talked about adding on to our house. We've considered every possibility. And this fall, we took the leap.

This is how the front of our house used to look.

Then came the demolition phase. One of the demo guys must have taken a liking to me.

You can see that most all of the landscape is gone, the small front porch and columns are gone, and you can't see that the underground plumbing is in place, and the concrete slab is poured.

The framing is up for a new bedroom, bathroom, and extended porch.

Tile on the roof and ready for stucco.

Drywall taking shape in the living room. No more arched window on that wall.

Texture on the walls in the bedroom.

Stuccoed.

New front door and new paint.

Landscaping done. Whew!

This process appears quite quick and easy when I just take a look at these 10 photos. It was not quick and not easy, but we sure are enjoying the added space. I'll do another post on the completed kids bedrooms and the new bathroom.
