53 days of summer...
might sound like a short summer, but it was just the right amount of time off of school to have lots of fun. Here's a few of the random things we did.
We went on a few "food adventures". The first one was a street market in downtown Phoenix. We had fry bread and tamales. We all liked it! The kids would always choose from our "usual" restaurants if it was up to them, but we are trying help them learn to try new things.
Our second food adventure was Ethiopian food. And, again, we discovered that we liked it! This was really interesting because you get a big tray of foods, and you pick them up with injera, a bread-like tortilla. It was all very good. We've also tried some Dim Sum, and Middle Eastern and Irish food too. The kids were pretty happy to try Mexican fruit popsicles, as well.
We spent a couple days enjoying our awesome city pools - so much fun!
All four kids honed their swimming skills at swim class. Nice dive, Tommy!
The girls had fun painting pottery. Here's Macy with her cute ice cream cone.
We always found fun stuff to do in the pool. Nice job, Allie!
Swimming with friends and neighbors is always a family favorite. Love this!
Water balloon launching at our annual ice cream nights is super fun too!
Building forts and sleeping in them is a great indoor summer activity.
Painting rocks always promises to be fun too!
It was a great summer!
